Great Smokey Mountains - Part II

It is absolutely amazing how the simple conversion of greens to reds, yellows and oranges can draw so much excitement.  But then again, it is one of my favorite times of the year.   This is the time, where we leave the summers warm blanket to pause just briefly to relish cool temps filled with color, before we all hibernate for the winter. It is simply beautiful.

Enjoy the last Autumn has to offer:

Another view from the Bradley Fork.

A splash of yellow.

A male elk fattens up before winter.

Winter comes early on the route to Andrews Bald.

Sunset on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Tom Branch Falls looking oddly Japanese.

Enjoy.
