The Human Bodies Need for Speed

In honor of the Tour de France, which is rolling through Europe as we speak, I thought I would post a few photos of other Pros.  In the United States and Europe a whole plethora of B-level pros race in and amongst towns more for personal glory than wealth.  In my opinion these are the real athletes.  They do it for the love, not the paycheck.    So here is my best attempt to capture speed at the Nature Valley Grand Prix.

Nature Valley Grand Prix, Minneapolis Criterium:

A lone cyclist chases the gaps between packs.

Diving into the corner at speeds of up to 30 mph.

Taking it home in the later stages of the race.

Flying by, trying to stay in the game.

Enjoy and watch the tour, this may be your last chance to see Lance Armstrong.   Even if he tries again, it will be a great duel out there between him and Alberto Contador and no doubt a few other surprises.
