Shorebirds of the Outer Banks

Every good beach needs birds.   The Outer Banks was no exception.  They shoreline was filled with them, some staying permanently and others just stopping by on their way north.

Here is a small sampling of the seaside action:

Fresh seafood for breakfast.

Gulls searching for a seafood snack.

Hunting in the shallows for a treat.

The flock skitters across the beach to avoid an advancing wave.

Enjoy!
